I4C (Immunotherapy for Cure): Combined Immunologic Approaches to Cure HIV-1
I4C is a consortium of committed investigators in academic, public, and private sector research institutions across the globe, all working together for a common purpose- to cure HIV.
By leveraging the knowledge and resources of so many different institutions, we can pursue a complementary and enriched method of seeking an HIV cure.
We believe that combined immunologic strategies will likely be required to eliminate virally-infected cells and to achieve long-term immune control of persistent viral reservoirs. With this in mind, we will combine non-human primate studies with clinical trials to identify the most effective immunologic strategies needed to accomplish these goals.
The I4C Martin Delaney Collaboratory is based at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Center for Virology and Vaccine Research in Boston, MA.
