Los Alamos National Laboratory, Theoretical Biology and Biophysics Group

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a Department of Energy Lab that has as primary purposes enhancing global nuclear security and protecting the world through innovative science and technology.  The Los Alamos team is part of the Theoretical Biology and Biophysics group, which was one of the first theoretical biology groups in the world, founded in the early 1970s. We bring interdisciplinary computational and mathematical approaches to bear on understanding diseases with serious impact on public health, focusing on vaccine design, viral evolution, and modeling the immune response.
